Candidates must have specialized training or one year experience in treating or working with a person who has mental illness; and is a Licensed Bachelors or Masters Social Worker (or is eligible for licensure), a Masters degreed psychologist, educator with a degree in education from an accredited program and whos degree is in a mental health related field, or licensed professional counselor.
